The Center has been actively involved in the continuous advocacy against large-scale mining companies in the country — Western Mining Corporation, Climax Arimco Mining Corporation, Placer Dome Incorporated. It has assisted upland rural indigenous communities affected by the transnational extractive corporations in the Luzon and Mindanao areas.
Currently, the Center leads the Task Force CAMC, a formation of different People's Organizations (POs), NGOs, and other interest groups working against the operations of Climax Arimco Mining Corporation, an Australian mining company |
