Contribute to the Philippine Natural Resources Law Journal
The Philippine Natural Resources Law Journal (PhilNaJur) is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to fostering scholarly discourse on the legal, policy, social, and economic dimensions of natural resource governance in the Philippines. PhilNaJur serves as a platform for analyzing the intersection of law, sustainability, and social justice—particularly in relation to indigenous rights, environmental protection, energy and climate policies, and the equitable management of land, water, and mineral resources.
PhilNaJur prioritizes research that:
-
Advances Legal and Policy Frameworks: Examines the effectiveness, gaps, and innovations in Philippine natural resources law, including compliance with international commitments (e.g., climate agreements, UNDRIP).
-
Engages Interdisciplinary Perspectives: Bridges law with economics, anthropology, and environmental science to address complex challenges like biodiversity loss, extractive industries, and climate change.
-
Amplifies Marginalized Voices: Highlights the rights and roles of indigenous peoples, local communities, and other stakeholders in resource governance and decision-making.
-
Promotes Evidence-Based Solutions: Features empirical studies, case analyses, and comparative research to inform policymaking and advocacy.
By curating peer-reviewed articles, commentaries, and special thematic issues, PhilNaJur contributes to the national and global dialogue on sustainable development, environmental justice, and the rule of law. The journal invites contributions from legal scholars, practitioners, scientists, and community advocates committed to reimagining equitable and ecologically sound futures for the Philippines’ natural heritage.
